Which underfloor thermostat to choose for local integration (no cloud)?

I’m looking for an underfloor electric heating thermostat with these criteria:

  • Finland, 230 V
  • reasonably priced
  • can be controlled with Home Assistant without relying in any cloud services (after setup, at least)
  • will work as a conventional non-smart thermostat if Home Assistant is not available
  • no soldering required

Below are my findings so far. I would be happy to get more data to this list. Maybe this could be a Wiki page somewhere?

Meross MTS200HK (Wifi)

Tuya Beca/Moes/Qiumi, e.g. BHT-002-GBLW

Futurehome (Zigbee)

  • Price: About €78
  • TODO: Determine if it works without a cloud. What other hardware is required?

Heatit Z-TRM3 (Z-Wave)

  • Price: About 120 € + z-wave gateway (about 40 €)
  • works locally without a cloud

Ebeco EB-THERM 500 Wifi ready

  • Price: 115 € + 68 € wifi module
  • TODO: Determine if it works without a cloud.

Ensto ECO16BT (Bluetooth)

I am facing the same problem. For me zigbee devices could be a good choice but they are hard to find.

This one seems not to be supported. Please let us know if you have other findings.

The Moes 006 is actually supported. I have been using 6 of them in my house in Finland and it’s working fine with Zigbee2Mqtt.

My father has a wifi version of the same thermostat, that one does not work with Homeassistant, only through the Tuya app.

I am honestly very happy with the thermostats and they’ve been doing exactly what I want them to do. Don’t bother with the Wifi versions though.

Let me know if you have any questions/.
