Yeah, I get those emails too, although right now they’re not “supposed” to be having a problem:

I see the same results in HA (I am also on 99.2) as I do in the Wink app…both are wrong for the two Sensi thermostats that I have. The Sensi app is accurate (and the last update to the Sensi app has made it much more responsive as well).
I am going to try to bombard Sensi again about this. Ignoring HA, if i wanted to control their product with Alexa or Google, I would have to use Wink and over the past month it has only worked a couple of days here and there.
The ultimate thing would be to bypass Wink completely and have HA talk directly to Emerson’s / Sensi’s API.
I asked them about that and they replied that they have no plans to allow for direct API access. Since I assume they don’t care about us accessing it via HA, I assumed that at least accessing it via Alexa/Google is still an important selling feature for them…but maybe not.
If I get some free time, I may be able to get a working sensi direct API component together in October for hacktoberfest.
I have started on one already, but they are using websockets for control and update not a simple REST API so it’s a bit harder to figure out.
Man, I’m so fed up with Sensi/Wink. Neither company is responding to my support tickets. I looked into zwave, but I don’t want to replace my thermostat again - and they all have issues with it showing up as multiple devices, which I don’t want to deal with. I wish Wink would just get their shit together or Sensi would allow developer API access.
@ w1ll1am23 I previously shared my credentials with you to help with development, if there’s anything else I can do to assist please don’t hesitate to ask.
Thanks!!!
I’m having the same issue, the wink app is not updated for almost a week or so. Though, I can use the wink app and set the thermostat, it just doesn’t receive any updates when the sensi app is used to control the thermostat. And it doesn’t receive updates to current temp, etc.
I got an answer from Wink support and their recommendation was to unlink the Sensi account from the Wink app, re-link it and then re-create the automations (which I don’t have). I did the unlink/re-link step and the Wink app shows now the correct setpoint and what I assume the right actual temperature. I am not home right now, so I can’t say if home assistant is getting new values, but I’ll report back in a few hours.
I received the same response to my complaint. I also performed the steps and the Wink app appears to be updating based on the changes I make in the Sensi App. I did have to restart HA, and there were now two new entities (I have 2 thermostats) I deleted the old entities and renamed the new ones to match the old. HA is also now updating as well.
I guess we’ll see how long this lasts, as this was the exact steps I did after they did the “update” to the Sensi integration a few weeks ago…
Can confirm the complete unlinking / relinking procedure worked for me, despite the fact that Wink originally stated NOT to do that. Thanks for sharing what Wink Support told you!
This was working fine for me yesterday after I re-added it, but tonight it’s broken again. I deleted the device and then re-added it in the wink app, but it’s still not showing the correct values or modes.
Broke down and bought a Z-Wave thermostat finally. Used ones on eBay for $22 a pop.
Same here
Yeah I should have posted that…I did the unlink and it worked for like a day (probably less than). Based on everything I can gather from both companies, @w1ll1am23 is our best bet
I would definitely will offer my python skills if I can help, but I don’t have much free time currently. This wink/sensi integration is killing my HA automations so I would love to contribute if I am able to.
Well crap me too…
Same here, one Sensi is kind of close with the numbers, the other is completely whacked.
Anyone get this working yet? Do we need to bribe w1ll1am23 with a bounty to reverse engineer this?
Still broken for me. I know Sensi made some changes that required changes on Wink’s side, ever since then things are busted, even after fully deleting and re-adding the Sensi account.
Not sure if the changes they made require changes to the HA component?
I don’t think it the HA component, as my wink app is also not recording any changes. I’ve done the work around two times and it lasts about a day or less each time…
