Hi everyone,
I really love the new interface for configuring dashboards in Home Assistant – it makes creating and customizing them much more intuitive. However, I have a suggestion that could be particularly helpful for those of us using wall-mounted tablets as displays:
It would be incredibly useful to have an editing mode on the PC where you can set a fixed screen resolution, e.g., 1920x1200. This mode could include a preview window to show exactly how the dashboard will look on the target device.
This would have several advantages:
-
It ensures that all cards fit perfectly on the screen, avoiding any surprises later.
-
It eliminates the annoying need to scroll on wall displays, which can be quite frustrating.
-
It makes designing dashboards for specific devices much easier and more efficient.
I think this feature would be a great addition, especially now that more people are using tablets as dedicated wall displays. What do you think about this idea?
Thanks for reading, and wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Best regards,
Patrick
