WTH Why don't we have energy costs per device?

The energy dashboard does show nicely (and quite accurate) the energy costs for the whole day, and the energy usage per device. I’d like to have a per-device cost as well.

Right now I can see that my living room AC used 3.5kWh of energy today, but I can’t see what this has costed me. Or my EV charger. Or dishwasher. Or… well, you get the point.

The data is all there, because HA is using it already for the great sum-up of energy costs over the day.

It is not that simple. A few people we have Solar Panel and get a compensation by excedent energy.

So, if a turn on my washer for two hours and these hours I get a compensation, is the washer machine cost negative? is it zero?

If did not turn on my washer I would get more compensation, so, it is not zero…

I think solar or battery should be ignored for this. Solar panels generate energy for the entire house, not just a specific device. Having the cost per device is still a valuable information
