The update looks to set default location to AU and not Eur that Im, and lose all mu nodes, unless I go into Z-Wave JS UI, that I dont use ( install for test ) and moved it from AU to Eur… then in Z-Wave JS UI I start to see my nodes but none of my setup works
By default the region is set automatically based on your Home Assistant country setting. Is that set correctly? Settings → System → General → Country.
You can also configure the region manually yourself in the add-on settings. There’s no reason to use Z-Wave JS UI just for that (although there are other benefits to doing so). https://github.com/home-assistant/addons/blob/d870f1c75842626700a1028bf83bfa94ce558303/zwave_js/DOCS.md#option-rf_region-optional
See this guide if you want to switch add-ons permanently.
I find that update that change something that importen and not listed or you given a option to pick and I do not see one in the setup / config page is a kind of problem
No my location is “Asia” but all my Zwave is from Eur, so Eur
My main issue is Im not using the Z-Wave JS UI, so all my nodes names and scripts and integration is based on Z-Wave JS only.
Ok, so you’re using a frequency that is not corresponding to your location. In that case you can’t use Automatic. Set the region manually.
Thanks for guide I will look at it , I like kind just get things working
I mentioned how to do that:
Yah I seen that, now I have to Putty in and find the file to edit, this is just annoying spend so much time to find the problem ect
Add-on settings are in the add-on configuration UI. There’s no file to edit. I mean, you can edit the raw YAML in the UI too if you want, but it’s not necessary.
Don’t forget to save it.
The release notes of the add-on definitely understated the change. It should have been listed under the “breaking changes” with more detailed information about the implications.
Ok, Fine, guess I have to do the update first to make this happen. thanks for your help and time, it just im running on low, and things are not working and you get frustrated,
No cant even find that config menu… ha ha
found it, good I did not start to reset my setup except for a remote
I do get this , I guess a hard power off and on Failed setup, will retry: Failed to connect: Cannot connect to host core-zwave-js:3000 ssl:default [Connect call failed (‘172.30.33.1’, 3000)]
And we back mostly, thanks
They made one more update, And do address my problem, and do not update the location Info, THANKS
I know the % that use Zwave on HA is low but still we around
I have more than 60 Zwave devices and no problem in HA.
Lol! I was wondering why my lock just went down hard 3 days ago! I’m in Australia but get my zwave devices from the UK, so setting the regions brought them all back!
