LR is automatically enabled when US or EU regions are selected in the Z-Wave Settings and the controller supports it. There’s nothing else that needs to be done.
Also, I hope you mean you are using version 11.3.0 because version 1.3.0 was released in 2021 and would not support LR.
Yep, 11.3.0 … well that’s nice, though everything else I read says “Be sure to select the Long Range region!..” I guess I’ll try up-configuring a device now. Thanks!
I tried that in the provisioning section - I had to get the DSK code for my device then tried adding it but it just gave an empty device with no manufacturer or model details?
When I add it via smart start the only connection shown is for normal wave, I don’t have a button to pick LR.
Try to follow the procedure that involves scanning the QR code. When you do that, you should be presented with a window to select either the LR or mesh.
This might be the issue - I’ve pasted the QR code into the generator page, parsed it and it doesn’t list Long Range. It’s weird though as zooz just released a firmware update which said it was enabling LR for Europe so the device definitely CAN do LR…
thanks Cornell, when I try this I have to find the DSK code and add that rather than the QR code - is that right? When I did it with this method it just added a blank entry to my provisioning page, no manufacturer or model details
When you scan the qr code it should create an entry in the provisioning page that includes the dsk value, as well as other important info. You can manually create a provisioning list entry and force it to include as long range as long as you have the dsk value and select z-wave long range. Just copy it from the existing entry. No manufacturer details is normal it just mean there is not a config file for the device but it will still work fine.
