ZHA Aqara switch unk_model

I’m using the Aqara Wireless Remote Switch H1 with ZHA. After each Restart of HA the device is shown as unk_manufacturer unk_model and useless. does anyone have a solution to the problem, or should I report it as bug?

Hello Guido,

ZHA.
Look here to see if your device is supported or if someone has a quirk files to tide you over until it is supported assuming it is not.
If you are looking at how to use the quirks, How to setup local ZHA quirks.
Has a discussion about it. I’m sure searching the community would find you more stuff.

I’ve exactly the same issue with Aqara Wireless Remote Switch H1 with ZHA. I’ve used it for more than a year with Z2M without any problem, but with ZHA, I can add the device, it’s recognized correctly, add automations… All is Ok until ZHA restarts, the device is replaced by “unk_manufacturer unk_model”, nothing works anymore…

Since I can’t add more than 1 pic in this post, I’ve grouped it.
Device discovery works fine, Device summary shows it’s been recognized. Everything is working fine, I can add automations that work.
But then after restarting ZHA, the device isn’t discovered anymore, nothing is working…

I don’t think the issue is about setting up a local quirk (I use one for another device, a Tuya mmWave radar). In this case, it’s correctly detected and uses zhaquirks.xiaomi.aqara.remote_h1.RemoteH1DoubleRocker3, which looks totally correct to me.

Sounds more like a bug, or maybe ZHA integration puts the switch in a “special mode” which makes it unrecognized after restart (I mention this because in Z2M, there is a setting for mode fast/multiclick and another special mode setting for this device)

I am having the same issue with my 5 Aqara Switches (EU - Wireless).
Also having problems connecting them because it gets stuck on 'configuring" for some of them. When I reload the ZHA, the switches go to the same unknown state as you describe.

Very new at this and don’t know if im doing something wrong, but it worked for everything else (including all the wired Aqara switches)

Also having this issue, new to HA so thought it was something I was doing - hoping someone can shed light on this. I have to remove and pair it again to get it to work.

I’ve got exactly the same issue after I changed the clickmode value to 2 for the first time.

After I did that everything was f*cked… And I’m close to throwing the switches in the trash for it…

So, please help anyone?

I have the exact same issue and no solution. Did anyone already find something?
Not that the switch works well with both the Aqara hub and Homey so it’s probably some ZHA/Home assistant issue.

Edit it works fine with Z2M.
