Zooz ZST39 LR has all entities as disabled

I am new to Z-Wave. I have plugged in ZST39 stick in RPi 4 and it was very easy to set it up in HA. But most of the entities are disabled.
Icing on cake was, I have tried adding Schlage BE469 lock and again entities are disabled. It seems lock is added as node only.

Update: I have upgraded firmware to 1.60 as well, you can see that in screenshot.

Those entities are disabled by default. You enable the ones you want. Did you ever enable them?

I tried enabling them but it did not work. I can try again.

Can you clarify what “does not work” means? Once enabled it may take 30 seconds or up to a couple minutes for the entities to become available.

I have waited 5 minutes for it to become available. And at that point I thought about posting here. Another question, do they cause any issue if they stay disabled?

There is no problem if they are disabled.

Besides enabling the entities, I can’t remember if the statistics will populate on a timer or only update when there is actual network activity. If the latter, you may not see anything until some command happens. I do know the RSSI is measured every 30 seconds on an idle network.

As for this, first make sure your ZST39 is connected to a USB extension: https://zwave-js.github.io/zwave-js/#/troubleshooting/first-steps?id=controller-placement

Second, if the lock is far away and it’s the only device you have, then inclusion may be difficult as you don’t have any kind of mesh yet. Locks are also extra difficult to include as it is. You may need a repeater device if there is a problem during inclusion. If you get a warning message about low security it means the security bootstrapping failed during inclusion, so the lock will not function.

I did restart the system and tried enabling the entities and it worked. Also it is good to know that controller is working even if these entities are disabled. Thanks.

Just for update, I was able to add Schlage BE469 lock in HA by following steps outlined here.
