FWIW my USB speakers connected via 3.5mm audio jack on the HA Blue stopped working. Just like the solution for Bluetooth at 2023.12: Welcome home! - #21 by NormandyHA I had to shut down my HA server (HA Blue Odroid N2+), unplug all USB devices except my external M.2 SSD boot drive, restart HA, and re-connect my USB devices including the USB speakers to get them working again.

@SanderKo85 Agreed. This was the 1st thing I noticed about the update. The current temp is far more important to know than the target temp. Plus It does not fit well on the mobile app - the font size it too big.
@frenck - Can we please have the choice of the old and new format?

The solution to the mode problem has been mentioned multiple times in this topic.

The only issue that remains is for auto generated dashboards and that is being looked at.

@tom_l Sorry, but that’s not what I was talking about.
In your example the temperature (27C) should be large and in the centre so that it is easily viewable. The target temp (21C) should be small. These should be swapped over. Currently, when viewed on the mobile app all I see is the target temp. I’m more interested in the current temp - which I cannot see.

Same! Running beta on my production to catch real world issues.

A system run by one of the main Admins is not the real world. Your system is set up by someone who knows all the inner workings of the code.
The best thing would be if you go to the home of a random user and install the beta there - and you won’t be allowed to leave until it works for them too. Sounds like a good format for a TV show or YouTube channel actually

Like many others on the beta testing team I certainly don’t know anything about the inner workings of the HA source. Yet I run the beta on my production system too. For the same reason. To test it.

My message wasn’t a aimed at all beta testers, it was a reply to Frenck, who I assume does know more than 99.9% of users about the inner workings of the code.
Beta testers are great, thank all of you! I’m thinking about joining that team actually. Not sure how I want to set that up though. I’m running in a VM so maybe separate snapshots/clones would work best? What happens to my history if I run a beta for two days and then decide whatever issue I met can’t be tolerated anymore and I roll back?

Add option for switching places of target and current temperature in the new climate cards

The new climate cards in 2023.12.0 look nice, however the usability got worse in my opinion. I don’t really get why the target temperature is displayed big, and the current temperature is shown as tiny bellow it. In my opinion it should be the other way around (as it was in previous releases). Most people have schedules setup for heating, you usually know what your target temperature is. What I’m interested in is the current temperature, so how far am I off from the target. Previously I could …

I’d imagine someone with the right skill set could put it up in HACS as a custom card. Be patient or do it yourself.

Not sure where this feedback should go.
I love the new “beautiful new login page” however I feel the escape key should do the same behaviour as clicking previous once a user has been clicked to get back to the user selection (Other login options has a previous that would benefit the same)

I can’t see myself using this login screen much but this felt like intuitive behaviour to me the first time I tested to me.

Frankly I am not sure whether the target or the actual temp should be the emphasis.

Surely a thermostat’s main purpose is to allow you to set your desired room temp. Therefore the emphasis on target is right. It is not a thermometer.

Agreed. I don’t have an A/C system with a digital display in my current house but my old house did, and the display was always the set/desired temp.

I vote for this too. The actual temperature should be the important one, like before. This is also how the real thermostat is showing things. (i.e. bosch CT200). Please change this or at least make it configurable. For the rest, very nice card.
