FYI if you’re getting template repairs, go here for assistance:

I only had two templates left with the old format and was an easy migration, just followed the repair instructions.

Great release, no problem at all.

Merry xmas!

Do you happen to have reduced motion enabled in your phone?

Nope is disabled

Collapsing the following code (e.g., in Blueprints) no longer works for me. Has anyone else experienced this?

<details>
<summary><strong>✨ Features</strong></summary>

foobar

</details>

Edit: Ticket now created.

There was a series of markdown PRs that changed quite a bit, it probably broke the collapsible functionality. Suggest to please open a frontend issue about it.

I didn’t get a chance to test the beta this time around, but the update went smoothly, other than the fact that there is still no indication that anything is happening when I press the Update button - until after the backup is finished. This bad UI design. Users need feedback that the button press has done something.

Next question: how do I delete all these new dashboards that I don’t want?

Home
Lights
Security
Climate

I don’t mean hide them in the sidebar, I mean delete them. None of them are any use to me. They are nowhere near as useful or well organised as my own dashboards and are just unnecessary clutter.

I can disable the energy dashboard by not including energy: in my configuration.yaml, why not this other junk too?

They are now in a collapseable menu, I’m just collapsing it and ignoring them. They aren’t doing anything if you don’t access them btw so they are only an item in a list to look at.

OMG Reordering floors and areas ! :tada: Thank you!

Exactly. So why force us to have them?

I mean, you aren’t forced to have them. It’s just an item in the list that you see when you go to the dashboard page.

Re: Legacy sensor template deprecation
I thought we were told that that the old syntax would always be backwards-compatable — why will this no longer be the case?

Please check the link I posted above. I provide the reasoning why I made the change there.

False. I am forced to have them. There is no way to stop them cluttering up my list of dashboards.

Since when did home assistant decide they were going to not allow people to design their own dashboards and force their own idea of a frontend on users?

This is not cool.

Tom, they only clutter the list… the rest of your comment is tad false.

I agree this is really bad and said as much in the notes blog in the last release.
It causes a user to think nothing is happening and only when they click update again do you get a notification that it is already running - and that is an Error notification. So a really friendly UI design!
