Australia - Electrically Certified Hardware

Oooh. They look nice!

I believe there certified but itā€™s a bit late for me to go hunting, maybe ask Zemismart for the certification for Oz.

Interesting. Thanks mate. Iā€™ll take a look.

Just to let everyone know the Stitchys donā€™t support bell press, only regular on/off switches, acting like a 2 way switch. The dimming is via app/ HA or I believe you may be able to use the hue remote as m-elec use the hue bridge.

Even the Stitchy dim devices? Only allow software dimming?

Yes I have one of each and they will not work with bell press

Well that takes them off my list then.
Thanks for the info.

Harvey Norman sell a WiFi version of the same switches, under their own brand. They can be easily flashed with Tasmota and would integrate with HA using MQTT.

You can also get the WiFi version direct from Zemismart.

Ah yeah, I saw the WiFi version form Zemismart.
Just realised though that they probably canā€™t dim.

Iā€™ve been told that if Iā€™m putting ā€œfancyā€ stuff in the new house, it has to be able to dim the lights. That is apparently a hard requirementā€¦ hah.

Yeah, they are just on off, BUT, you can do some pretty creative stuff with HA and Tasmota, eg, put a 3 switch plate where there is only 1 wire, and you can have the other 2 switches perform automations, like dimming a light, running a script/scene to change everything in a room to a set set of values for brightness, color, certain things turned on/off, etc. The list is endless.

ah yeah good point.
I didnā€™t even think about that. I might have a think about that.

I have a zemismart wifi switch in that form factor - I really like it. The pushbuttons have a good feel to them, you know if you have pressed them (ie good feedback, right degree of springiness).

Trouble is I cannot see the zigbee ones in the list of zigbee2mqtt supported devices. Can anyone shed light on that? https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/information/supported_devices.html

Howā€™s the audible feedback when operating the switch with HA/remote?
Are the relays loud?

Just another note on the HPM / Legrand gear, I have had bad experiences with their standard Arteor range (not smart gear) where they have had failures (simple wear and tear) that I have not had with Clipsal gear and getting replacements was a nightmare as the range was no longer stocked anywhere.

Thinking back, I reckon a reflash did the trick.

Canā€™t remember. Iā€™ll check tonight, with and without my hearing aids!

For those that donā€™t want to wait for the slow boat from China, these work well with ZHA.

The same company also has smart lights and switches which run on the ā€˜Smart Lifeā€™ app so Iā€™d guess they could be flashed

Are these compliant in Australia?

Allegedly yes. Here a comment from about a week ago on Facebook from a guy saying heā€™s got a relationship with the manufacturer: ā€œYes I can confirm the Shelly 2 and 2.5 have received approval and are awaiting certificate to be issued.ā€ (Redirecting...)

According to the Zemismart aliexpress page feedback, these devices work fine with zigbee2mqtt (and ZHA). According to google translateā€™s portugese anyway. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000994876834.html

I am buying two right now.
