Australia - Electrically Certified Hardware

They apparently also work with Deconz, which is good for me!
I assume these are momentary rocker switches and won’t support dimming, right?

A search didn’t come up with anything so I’m guessing I know the answer but has anyone flashed a Kogan Moon Lamp?
I’m tempted to buy one…

A friend bought one of these and it’s got the new firmware and apparently isn’t easy to open to flash directly :-1:

I bought one off ebay ages ago. Touch dimming only, no smarts. So I cut out the base and placed it over a smart bulb (on lamp base from a smashed table lamp).

Thanks for the feedback guys

WiZ filament white tunable dimmable led smart wi-fi lights from Bunnings/Amazon… Has anyone put new firmware on them? Eg Tasmota? It looks like the WiZ firmware is similar to Tuya, but not the same.

Out of interest I googled the bunnings model number and tasmota WZ31089571-A tasmota and found damn all except for an advertising link to this site: https://www.athom.tech/

I don’t think they actually sell that bulb, but nice to see an open source oriented home automation shop!

Just looked at their AliExpress page - everything they sell seems to be pre-flashed with Tasmota which is nice.

I was wondering whether anyone can suggest a Zigbee compatible behind wall (in-line switch) which is legal in AU?

I’m looking for things like Aeotec Nano Switch/Nano Dimmer and Fibaro Single or Double/Dimmer Switch 2.

Just note that the two devices you mentioned are not zigbee they are z-wave. Zigbee vs Z-Wave: What's the difference and does it matter? - Gearbrain

Thanks, but that’s why I was asking specifically for Zigbee.

Read a fair few posts up. I was looking for the same thing and there is pretty much nothing available that is certified in Aus. If you find something, let me know.

Great! Where the best place to buy from?

It took me a while longer than I said, but the relays on the zemismart wifi switch are audible. However I don’t find them offensive and would not call them ‘loud’. I guess they would be quieter once in the wall. These things are very subjective of course,

Okay cool.
Thanks for the reply mate.
That helps at least.

YES JUST DONE 3 of them

Thanks for the feed back, but I ended up going with a couple of shelly1PM’s in the button enclosure.

No flashing required

I haven’t seen a local (AU) supplier for the Shelly 2.5 yet. There is always the option to order them from the manufacturer in Bulgaria.

I can’t speak to the quality of the deal or anything (haven’t done the research), but some local Shelly stock was posted on ozbargain yesterday: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/573973
