Broadlink RM4 Pro - "Device not supported"

Thank you, your fix worked for me. Thank you so much.

how can I access logs via command line? only thing I have access

How do you access the command line? Could you try to find a good translator?

Does someone know if this will be fixed in the new update ?

It’s not quite as simple as that. Steps:

  • It gets fixed in python-broadlink :white_check_mark:
  • A new release of python-broadlink is made :x:
  • Home Assistant uses it :x:
  • A new release of Home Assistant is made :x:

That’s great. Keep in mind that if you update HA, you’ll have to do it again… It may take some time until it is oficially released.

How do I do that ?

Im using VMWARE that is running supervisor . (without docker).
Ive tried to SSH via the web interface - cant see that folder
tried to exit to shell via the supervisor console - but dont see option there…

Any advice ?

Screenshot of addon config? Are you sure you’re running the right addon, there’s two of them?

Do I have to download this code and put it in custom_components? then it will work?

Maybe, but you should probably modify the HA core code. Look around the old PRs in python-broadlink for instructions.

Good news!

I was also initially unable to add my RM4 Pro (“Device not supported”) but after upgrading to today’s new release, (v2021.4) I was able to add it without any issues.
