Resolve in 3 units, 2 to go…
Ok suddenly 4 of my 5 units have come back online. Wasn’t even doing anything at that point! Very confused.
I managed to resurrect 3/4 units that I blindly update
Ok all of them are back online. Only 1 shows an update, even though they’re all on the new version now… also I didn’t really do anything, even though I tried the suggested solution a couple of times. So it might be a delayed result from that?
Anyway, fixed now. Annoying stuff.
There is one left but no luck. I got some network timeout errors. I am wondering if they are having network issue
I also carelessly clicked to updated all of our four devices and ran into the issue.
Using the diagnosis I was able to get one adapter working again. The problem is that the others are not detected by the diagnosis so Onecta can’t reset any error counters and trigger a reboot.
Can those who got it to work confirm if local API, dashboard controls etc are working via HA integration still on the new version?
I managed to recover one of my units with the “clear errors” method above (thanks!)
Unfortunately while I was still debugging and before landing on this page I tried to solve the problem by removing one of my devices from my home and adding it back.
I was able to remove it but now I cannot adding it back (maybe because of the firmware update error): the ONECTA app sees the device on the Wi-Fi network and prompts to add it to my home, but then I’m stuck in the “adding the unit” step until it times out…
Is there any way to factory reset a unit?
ok I recovered the removed unit, too: with the remote I reset the Wi-Fi settings of the unit with the procedure:
Then add it back: after Wi-Fi set-up the app will prompt to add it to your home, this time completing the process.
Hope it helps
This thread is life saver, I imagine all the people who are stuck with this problem…
Thanks you all, especially @GoranKis
Hi All,
Following @GoranKis ’ solution I managed to get 1 AC unit working after 6 attempts.
A few notes:
The issue is most likely due to connectivity with Daikin repositories and not a firmware issue (at least not for Sensira B-series which I have).
Before you decide to replace any Wi-Fi controllers on your AC, run the diagnostics tool a few more times - in my experience the solution is a combination of running diagnostics & the AC gateway being able to establish a connection to Daikin servers at the same time.
Having this issue with one of my AC units, I’ll wait for a next firmware release before I update the other 4
Good luck!
My device is completely dead, it does not connect to wifi, so the Onecta diagnostics method will not solve the problem.
No response after factory resetting the BRP069B41 wifi module.
It is 100% bricked, so please avoid upgrading the firmware.
3 units, dead trying to upgrade to 3_1_33. Tried the diagnostics trick, but so far no luck.
Hi,
After trying to update yesterday to the new firmware, the update was also stuck in the onecta app, and all devices offline.
My 3 stylish units are still working with their physical remote, but if the wifi module reboot non-stop, I don’t know how Daikin will repair that…
Very bad update.
5 units complete kaput. Tried the trick Goran suggested but it didn’t work for me This is insane. I am planning to call Daikin and talk to them later on today. Has anyone done this yet? What’s the official response from them? Also, I’m wondering if we should stay on ruins firmware or is Goran method somehow forces the device to fallback to the old version? I see that all my ACs are running on version 3_1_33 and they’re reachable over the network. At this moment it seems like an application incompatibility between the app and the unit.
Yeah I can find them on the network too, but it look like all 45sec they reboot the wifi module as said before because with the old Daikin controller app they appear offline and online everytime… And they also appear on the app with the new firmware.
Hi all,
thank you and i am glad that i have help some of you, but i am not glad that i didn’t help all of you :-/
So, this is my situation and observation…
Before i found out any topic about firmware update i have proceed with it…and…pufff…bricked
Then i start to google and found first posts of @mike4001 and @effpe but for me it is too late because i did it before those posts.
And i have decided to call Daikin but they didn’t work anymore in Croatia, then i sent email to European global Daikin support about official firmware in official app that bricked all my devices and i am asking them to provide me a solution… I have Ticket number, and nobody answer me yet.
And that i start to diagnose…problem start to appear in this thread and i new that this is not isolated problem.
I have noticed that all my devices has live connection on my AP (Onecta says that they are offline). I try everything, unplug them, reset them, reassociate them…but no success…
Then i decided to made debug diagnostic using Onecta to see where is the problem. Because they are all rebooting not in same time every time i open diagnostic i see different devices. But i decided to se at least on 1 what debug says. I use first diagnostic with all enabled for 90 seconds and cancel it…After 60 second i have noticed green line telling me that “Firmware update successful”…WTF?!? i go back to Onecta Home screen and one devices get online. So i try several times (al least 30) and on the end all get updated. It was took me 30 minutes of trying… Then i decided to share this with all of you because on internet there is no topic for this…but i want to help.
And now i decided to send diagnostic form app to my pc to see what the problem is. I didn’t investigate too much but from what i can see all devices where updated from beginning…but there is problem accessing https://api.prod.unicloud.edc.dknadmin.be with token from unit.
Every diagnostic ends with “INFO [ Websocket] Flushing 1 data items from buffer…” and i think that this clean all corrupted data and reinitialise device again.
Same issue here after prompted to upgrade to 3.1.33
After and hour of trying to upgrade ONECTA App declares the device Offline
and it cannot connect back.
It can be reached/pinged locally but obviously could not connect to cloud.
It tries to reconnect to wifi network after 42 seconds.
It can be operated by the original Daikin application not ONECTA but
for that application they removed the Out-of-Home funcionality.
Maybe they should restore the original cloud that was used before ONECTA
I wrote them yesterday through the application but no answer yet.
Wonder how the whole service was designed they have not even confirmed the receipt of the inquiry.
Very bad execution of this firmware change from Daikin.
That worked too for my Stylish XRH30, also stucked in update loop. Thx!!
