Google Assistant trouble shooting

I now have 20 devices exposed with non cloud, and I activated ha cloud, the paid subscription, to expose 20 more, one more, doesn’t matter where or what, then sync my devices or linking gives issue… So I have 40 exposed now, all working, but only see the lights

Only see the lights where? Android or iOS, Google Home App or Google Assistant App? I see all my physical devices in The Google Home App, also in the assistant app but it has 3 tabs for devices, rooms and scenes. On the devices tab in assistant I only see physical devices, the rooms app shows everything.

Android, Google home app, I can only see now rooms with lights, the rooms with switches are gone and not visible…

If you go to assistant settings , the place where you add the home control apps , just before you click on the + button, there I still see the list of everything, also switches

This is my home app screen…

And also my assistant screen…

Yes, I know, I was the same yesterday for me, now not anymore… I even deleted the “house” to start again from scratch

Btw, how did you expose that item for computer, the plug? My switched from HA were exposed ad switch, not as plug icon before

I get to the point where I am able to edit and push the action.json file and the command line says it is ready for testing but when I actually go to connect home assistant to Google home I am getting this screen

yes, we all have now, do you have more then 20 entities in your config? are you exposing more then 20 devices?

if you expose in total more the 20 switches/lights, you will have this issue
@DavidFW1960 is the only exception untill now, but u think i know the difference, he us exposing only in total 17 lights/switches, the rest of them are scenes/scrips, i dont think google counts this as a device

I am exposing 16 things total which consist of switches, lights, input boolean, media players, groups, and a cover.

then i dont know

I started re-introducing entities individually one-by-one, following a restart of HA while I had a terminal open to watch logging. To my surprise, I was able to enable all my devices (40 total). Invoking google_assistant.request_sync service and “Sync my devices” via voice command both worked flawlessly. Great!

Yes, I was able to do this with the cloud version, eventually more then 20 devices… But when you start with more, then it doesn’t link… No idea what’s wrong

so you started with 18 succesfull devices, then enabled one bye one untll 40 ?
i did this approach on the HA cloud/paid version, it was a success, now , again, sync my devices gives me an error again
now stuck again with < 20 devices ; also on HA cloud version, more then 20 , and it fails :frowning:

really frustating

Correct. It took a while of course, but I have all my originally exposed devices back on GA … and verified I can sync via GA voice command and HA request_sync.

It is hidden in the home assistant config as the Google Home has native Xiaomi MiHome support (that’s also why my Yeelights are hidden)

ah ok, then those icons are not comming from HA
and those scenes, how do you see those in the APP? its not like a switch/light/plug, am i correct?

I see them in Rooms or under scenes as per above screenshots. I can’t activate them by tapping on them in the app - only voice control.

ah, dont use scenes, but scripts, they are not visible in the app, just hidden and only by voice control
but there is no “script” column, like you have the scene title bar
