Hi! I have a Daikin AC that is connected to HA via KNX integration.
The AC have the these values for HVAC modes:
2 - auto
0 - cool
1 - heat
3 - dehum
4 - fan
But default values for controller modes is different in KNX integration, so when I choose, for example, cooling mode in HA, the real mode in AC is auto, because standard value of KNX integration for cooling mode is 2.
How could I change default values for controller modes in KNX integration?
I saw this thread and read that its impossible, is it still so?
The knx entity only accepts the standardised DPT. If you have some proprietary data point types, you’ll have to look into either translating them via an automation or maybe use a template entity instead of a knx entity.
Maybe you can configure your device to use proper DPT 20.105 in ETS.
The problem was solved
For future generations: there are may be two types of “modes”, just “modes” and “controller modes”. In my case, I needed to use controller modes, the values for controller modes in Daikin AC and HA are the same, so the problem was solved.
And one more note: I used CoolMasterNet as a gateway to connect my AC’s.
