Install HA on RPi behind a proxy

Hello,

I’m planning to use HA with my students at work with Raspberry Pi. I’m wondering if it’s possible to use it behind a proxy. If so what configuration file should be edited. Ideally it could be a file directly written on micro SD card.

What doesn’t work behind the proxy?

Install is blocking when trying to download updates. So I can only have access to console and web interface with blue circle to show log. I’m not currently behind the proxy so I can’t exactly give you URL which is blocking. What I can say is that we have access to a URL to download a PAC file (proxy auto configuration)

I added this trust_env and it works. I would be glad if someone else suggests if this is a good idea or not. As @frenck said in here the above suggestion may not work in all situations as there is no control over third party libraries and they way they make HTTP requests.
