:newspaper: The Automation Process:

  • Trigger Options:

    • Specify the state change of one or more entities that will initiate the automation from a dropdown list. You can also specify your own custom state if it is not available from the dropdown list.
    • State Change Options: The available state changes include:
      • General States: Button or any state, ON, OFF, Unavailable or Unknown
      • Location-Based States: Home or Not Home

  • Notification Options:

    • Choose to send messages to one or more devices. Compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices.
    • Choose to send voice messages to one or more devices.
    • Choose to send messages via WhatsApp
    • Choose to send messages via Telegram
    • Choose to display notifications directly in the Home Assistant user interface (UI).
    • Choose to send text-to-speech announcements to selected media players.
    • Choose to use a custom action.

  • Time-based Automation and Repetition:

    • Enable or disable the repeat service for one or more notifications, entering the delay for each notification and the number of repetitions.
    • Specify precise start and end times along with weekday selections to define when the automation can run.

  • Global Conditions:

    • Enter any custom conditions to further customize the automation process.

I added the repeat feature to this project because I’m using it for Important Alerts, so they need to grab my attention and that of others.
You can enable repeat for each notification and set how many times it should repeat and how long it should wait between repetitions.

I think this project could be better written, so I welcome your suggestions for any changes.

I’m still in the early stages of writing these blueprints.

I’ve changed the Telegram section, now you no longer need to enter your Chat ID. Simply select the desired Chat ID from the drop-down menu.

You can also enter multiple Telegram chats.
