Rolling back to a previous version after 2024.11 update

I just updated to 2024.11 and an error stating I had duplicate entity ID for one ESPHome entity popped up. The ESPHome yaml is correct with only one entry for the ID. So I rebooted HA and now “Settings” , “Overview” and my other dashboards show error “Error while loading page lovelace.”. I rebooted HA via monitor & keyboard on HA Blue, (because “Developer Tools-Restart” also doesn’t work) but I still have the issue. The “Logbook” doesn’t show anything unusual as far as I can tell. Any suggestions to correct this? Thanks.

See: ESPHome - where are the unique IDs

Thanks. Since “HA-Settings” shows "Error while loading page dashboard. I’ll try to revert back to the previous version to fix the issue using your suggestion.

Using the terminal and typing “backup restore 318866br”
returns “Error: 318866br is only a partial backup!”
So it won’t revert back to the automatically generated partial backup for this 2024.11 core update.
What terminal command should I use?

Wouldn’t that be “CLI ha core update --version 2024.10.10”?
I don’t remember what the last version # was.

Disregard my last post.

why not just delete it then?

Sorry for being a pain. Using “cli core update --version 2024.10.4” just takes me to the help menu for cli. Any other ideas?

Expand my post to see the full thing. It says:

ha core update --version 2024.10.4

Thanks, that replied successful. doing a “host restart” now.

I also tried “core restart” yet after the process I still get the “Error while loading page lovelace.” when loading “settings” or any dashboard and the “Developer-restart” does nothing. Doing a “core info” states the version is still 2024.11. I’ll play with it a while to try to fix it. This is frustrating. I appreciate your help and patience.

Solved! I used “core rebuild” thanks again.

Update: this was premature. The issue happens when using the Brave browser in Linux Mint. In Windows 10 the Brave browser also works fine. I cleared the cash, and rebooted the computer but the issue persists. It may be on my setup only (I don’t know). It works fine on the Firefox browser.

It seems that the home assistant app on my iPhone 14 Pro does not work for me, giving me this message. However, opening home assistant in safari works 100% fine. My wife’s phone app is not affected.

This is a separate thread so I don’t think your post will be seen. I suggest you post it here: 2024.11: Slick dashboards and speedy cameras
