Same.
I am running a fresh install on a Home Assistant Blue latest SW as of 21/12/22.
ZHA recognises skyconnect alright but cannot add any devices. HABlue inside a cabinet and dongle is outside it via cable so interference unlikely.
I will try to reverse back to older OS version and see if issue is with 2022.12
I spent all afternoon trying to pair devices and nothing, even with them sat 5cm from the Sky connect. I’m running HA on a Pi 4 and also using an SSD, but I used the supplied USB extension for the Sky Connect. Made no difference. Anyway I moved back to an SD Card instead of SSD and everything pairs no problem from a few metres away. Problem I have now is that automations don’t trigger, the triggers exposed don’t align with what the devices do.
Ok.
Fresh install back to
Home Assistant 2022.9.6
Supervisor 2022.11.2
Operating System 8.5
Frontend 20220907.2 - latest
Now tried to pair frist smart switch and it finds it super fast, no issues what so ever.
Looks like issue related to latest HA version.
At the moment running with Combee2/deconz and only 1 switch in ZHA with Skyconnect but looking good so far.
I will try to migrate it all other devices over to ZHA and see how it goes.
Doesn’t the December update include a different version of the ZHA integration? I noticed that is called “SkyConnect v1.0” instead of ZHA
Are you saying you running both Conbee2 and Skyconnect controllers simultaneously?
I had the same issue with my SkyConnect yesterday. The 50cm USB extension it shipped with isn’t long enough in my case. I added a further 1m extension and now it’s finding all the devices fine
So in my case at least, the issue was the well know USB interference.
I had the same issue. When I moved the stick to a usb adapter I got it to work.
Yes, looks like anything 9 and above has a new version of the zigbee integration (didn’t check the logs though it didnt work on OS9)
I was running both skyconn and combee but I didn’t like the mess it makes with entities so Im now on a fresh install (OS8.5) and only skyconnect and so far so good.
Im still pairing devices so not sure if automations etc will work as yet…
Wow!!.. I just plugged in a 1,5m extension and now it reaches the outlet downstairs without and problems! Why did I not try this before?
Agree. I am also using a longer cable and it seems much better now…
But everything seems to break for me with the December updates.
Hi,
I am new with the skyconnect,… Try to bind the LYWSD03MMC whatever with the original firmware or the Tellink… No luck… actually with ? Any tips ?
frist thing I would say is try a longer cable and keep the dongle as far away from the usb3 ports as possible.
not sure why you are messing around with fw at this stage. suggest to keep orinal for now.
I also had issues with OS9 and later. working well for me on OS8.5
I already tried with an extension cable (+2m)… still nothing …
same problems here with the skyconnect and a rbp4
My SkyConnect started to work properly after I relocated my rpi4 with HA to a different room in the house (too much interference in the hallway fusebox cupboard??) And using a 1.5m extension cord allowed downstairs Zigbee outlets to be detected instantly.
i just ordered a couple of extension cords. my rpi4 is in the hallway fuse box cupboard as well.
i got cables of 1.8, 3 and 5 meter. I now using z wave and i got recently buy 2 zigbee wall dimmers because i dit ordered the sky connect. we’ll try again later this week
Hi,
first I’ve fist had Problems too but then used a longer cable and instead of the USB 2.0 Port side by side of the always in use USB 3.0, I used the USB 2.0 diagonally. All this is on my Raspi 4, Home Assistant in a Docker.
Now at least 98% of my network us working. (1 Device is disconnecting and I have to investigate what triggers the leave and one is not configurable, both should be software and not physics)
I also tried to switch from Devons Stick to SkyConnect, also used a longer cable than before but it can not find any devices for me. The Devons Stick is finding the devices without problem. I tried several restarts, removing and adding integrations without luck. So I will stick with Devons for now I think.
my skyconnect is working now.
I used a cable of 3 meters en it finding my devices at once and have now 2 day’s perfect working.
First attempt at migration from Raspbee II was a partial success, some devices working, but some not. I added a 2 meter cable and now all but except Sengled bulb and an Ikea blind are working. (Both of those had been giving occasional problems on the Raspbee.) However, I’m having trouble adding new devices. The only way I could get an Aqara motion sensor to pair was to put it right next to the SkyConnect stick. Now that it’s paired it seems to be staying connected even when moved away.
