Are you using the “made for Somfy” integration or the Tahoma integration?
Thanks for asking @alexanderfitu, I’m using “made for Somfy”. I’ve a Connexoon RTS controller so wasn’t sure about Tahoma integration. Also I can’t login with my Somfy user into tahoma.com, not sure if that would work with the Tahoma HA integration. Is that an option in your opinion, is it any more reliable?
You should be able to use https://github.com/iMicknl/ha-tahoma with the same credentials. (depending on the type of Connexoon box). We are trying to add support for all Connexoon RTS boxes.
Could you give it a try? In my use-case it is more stable than via the official Somfy API.
Hi. I’ve been using somfy integration for about a year. Unfortunately, I’ve been observing for about a month that I can’t completely rely on it. I have set the behavior of blinds within automation. Even if the automation starts, sometimes the blinds don´t respond. I haven’t solved it for a while, but it’s starting to bother me.
First I checked the logs on the TaHoma side and indeed some inputs are not recorded, so they will not be executed. When I look at the logs on the HA side, I see a lot of repetitive entries on the blinds side. This corresponds to a history where blinds are often unavailable.
I would understand that one of the blinds has a worse connection, but all five? Does anyone have experience with this? Unfortunately, I can’t compare it to older loggers, the blinds used to work without problems, so I didn’t have to deal with it.
Yes, the HA-Tahoma plugin is much better, to the point of actually being usable
I have a Somfy-Tahoma box though so not sure on the support for the Connexoon boxes. I had the same problems with the “made for Somfy” integration with the API reporting 500 internal server error in the logs daily.
You are not the only one that observe this behavior. Apparently Somfy has some trouble with their servers. I will recontact them next week.
Thanks @imick I will give this a go.
And thank you @tetienne for your efforts, it must be very frustrating dealing with Somfy on this, I need a new set of blinds for another area of the house and let’s say Somfy is not top of the list now whereas it would have been before.
@imick I have installed https://github.com/iMicknl/ha-tahoma and although it’s early days everything is working OK. In fact it’s already more stable than the Somfy API has been for the last 2 weeks! Just for info, I’ve used my Somfy credentials and using a Connexoon RTS unit with 2 roller blinds.
Thank you to you and the devs for working on this.
Are you in Australia by any chance?
I’d love to get this working.
In the UK. I understand you may have some Somfy connection issues in Australia judging by other comments?
It looks like Australia requires a login via accounts.somfy.com, where we can use the token for tahomalink.com / other server. However, this requires quite some efforts and none of us is able to finish this on short term
Could you give https://github.com/iMicknl/ha-tahoma/archive/feature/support_connexoon_rts.zip a try? You need to unzip the package first and put the custom_components/tahoma folder in your custom_components folder.
I just tested it with the account of someone from Australia and it worked like a charm!
OMG, it works!!!
You legend!
Thanks you so much.
Is this in HACS?
not yet, but if it’s confirmed to be working, it will be released soon.
We just released v2.4.0 of the Somfy TaHoma integration to HACS. (Release v2.4.0 · iMicknl/ha-tahoma · GitHub)
Bonjour Tetienne,
Cdt,
Christophe
Hi,
At the moment, support is quite limited in somfy’s official API. But you can have a look at this one for larger support: Tahoma Integration Refactored
Cheers
V.
Thanks, I will have a look at this Tahoma component.
Cheers,
Christophe
Hi,
Many thanks, I have finally succeeded in installing the Tahoma custom component (not so straightforward for a new user of HA ).
I have almost all my Somfy devices, but the climates, a remote and the tahoma button are missing, did I miss something ? Should they be manually declared ?:
Best would be to discuss this in the Somfy TaHoma integration topic, to keep the discussion here about the Somfy integration via the official API. The readme offers guidance on how to approach devices that are currently not working yet.
