Thanks Marius! Its nice to hear a power user like you have no issues. Unfortunately its not the same experience for everyone right now
@Robban, am using the cloud gateway max. Also update the other thread. Was not sure its the right place here. Anyhow, thanks
Edit: I tested some more and it seems that if I remove the integration and re-add it, it will fail if I use the same local user credentials as before. If I create a new user then and use that, I can connect just fine again but the same warning keeps coming in the logs. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help/ test.
Ok, then you have this issue Authentication error 429/421 with controls but status sensors are working · Issue #122438 · home-assistant/core · GitHub
We’re trying to figure out what the difference is when doing a toggle on the UniFi app and through the integration.
Thanks! Had quick look through the linked thread and will dig into it later but to note is that I use a local “read only” account and did not configure (at least knowingly) and toggles. My intention is only to read data such as number of clients, up and down speeds, loads on memory / cpu.
Our current hypothesis is that Ubiquity has done something different with the new “ultra” devices
I have the non-Pro UDM and is facing this issue - Integration and Sensor works without error, but Switches throw an authentication error.
@Robban would it make sense to suppress that warning from the logs temporarily? I checked my log files and its still not particularly big so am not sure if its best to just let it be for the time being.
I dont understand. There is an issue so why should the log detailing the issue be suppressed?
Point taken, Ill leave it as is
The connection issue has been resolved and a fix is out with 2024.8.2 release, the cause was a new type of cookie metadata not yet supported in python
Hey all!
Another month and Home Assistant 2024.9.0 release with changes in the UniFi integration.
We’ve got two new functional additions from the community ; UniFi device uplink sensor by Vividboarder and more temperature sensors by @kimdv.
Thanks guys!
Try these features out during the beta, feedback is appreciated.
Cheers!
/Robban
Home Assistant 2024.9.0
- Add UniFi device Uplink sensor vividboarder
- Add temperature sensors for UniFi device @kimdv
- Use snapshot in switch tests
- Use more snapshotting in sensor tests
No new aiounifi release this time
For feature requests of the integration post an issue at aiounifi github
If you appreciate my work I’m on Github Sponsors.
Sorry for my confusion about this integration. I just installed it and have been able to Unifi Network: Reconnect wireless client, and I think it is just fantastic. But I am unclear if this integration should allow me to Pause/Resume a Traffic & Firewall Rule. If this is not the integration for that, which one is?
Traffic rules yes, firewall is not yet supported.
Is a Drop Rule a traffic rule? Should each rule show up as a switch?
Hi all. Not sure this is the right thread for this question but I hope it is. I have a UCG Ultra and I noticed there’s a “Clients” sensor in HA for it. However, it seems to report just 0 or sometimes 1. I’d assume it’d be a count of all the clients on the network (wired + wlan)? Anyone else with a similar sensor have a different experience with it?
Its a counter for clients reporting the device as its connecting node
Thank you! Got it now.
Ah. It should be 0 all the time, then. But I know why it’s going to 1 sometimes. Weird behavior of one of my wired clients (Envisalink 4) where Unifi Network toggles between thinking it’s connected directly to UCG Ultra vs the FlexMini it is physically wired to. Worked with support, but never got resolved. Seems others have the same issue with this device.
Like the wired bug a couple of years ago where wireless devices would appear wired and connected once disconnected. Maybe it will be fixed down the line
Hey all, any idea why I’d get invalid authentication when trying to set up UniFi Network which I have self hosted logging in using my usual username and password? I do have 2fa set up and it seems it is being triggered here, is there some way to make it work with 2fa challenges? Or do I have to make a special account or something?
Okay answering my own question here. You need a local account, and have to go to the old UI to create one. I really should read things more carefully.
