Can you post a screenshot of the settings in the app or my wallbox? To see if I can use it with the Copper SB?
Sorry; what exactly would you like to see?
Setting screen in solar where the mono charging is activated
In Dutch and some English terms. I hope it is clear like this.
Edit; it is the setting about “Actieve fasen” -active phases. Which you can toggle between 1 and 3 pjase charging.
Edit bis; the extended status API gives also this status. But I didn’t find a way to toggle it via the API.
Thanks It’s very clear. I don’t have it on the Copper SB.
Has anybone successfully integrated a WALLBOX PULSAR PLUS consumption sensor ?
There is no such important sensor,
but the mywallbox cloud has all these basic figures we really need inside HA and do not have yet.
I need a wallbox consumption inside HA in 2024 where everyone has a energy map where the biggest load and consumer is missing: the charger
The only kWh sensor available right now by the integration is the worst you can get:
kWh by charging session - useless for me
The sensor has also a terrible and wrong tranlsation called “additional energy” in german “zusätzliche Energie” instead of charged energy / geladene Energie.
I am pretty disappointed that the manufacturer does not care and the HA developer also ignore the weakness of this implementation.
Here is a screenshot of the only kWh sensor provided by this integration which is a big mess and you can take a calculator to sum it up manually.
Looks like we had 13 charging sessions which means 13 continous charging events where the charging can be paused during night and continued with surplus energy the other day as 1 session. Technically right, but useless for me. I need a Wallbox Energy counter which is available inside the Wallbox and is providing all the kWh consumption figures for the wallbox cloud.
Here is a request for this basic kWh counter which all Wallbox owners should vote for that things get changed.
Right now I have nothing what I need. I would need to buy another eastron SDM72 modbus kWh meter to get those figures into HA - or sell the Wallbox Pulsar Plus and replace it with a serious wallbox with a good HA integration !
Be carefull with those ideas cause WALLBOX is developing their products shipped constantly cause we suffer from that stupid move. They sell the Pulsar Plus for 5 or 7 years with the same product name, but the internals have changed big times.
We have bought ours in 2023 and now we are waiting for a firmware upgrade to 6.x for months cause surplus charging is not working due to false OCPP iimplementation by Wallbox which we know cause some owners of the newest verison have already gotten that firmware version and have no longer the ocpp issue we are suffering from.
So whatever you wanna share might and will depend on your hardware version if others can use it too or not. It took months to figure that out till someone in another forum out of nowhere suddenly replied that his charger is working OCPP compliant after he had gotten a firmware 6.x which is not available for the majority of other users and we were not aware of.
There is the HA Energy Dashboard; isnt that what you are looking for?
Just add the wallbox consumption to it and it will start tracking the energy consumption.
For my info; for what would you like to use the info you are after?
There is no such sensor for it. No real wallbox pulsar plus energy counter.
Only the one that I showed above: a kWh counter for each session
I simply wanna get the wallbox Pulsar Plus consumption till today like
8 kWh today
18 kWh this week
180 kWh this month
Simple as that but I need an energy consumption counter for that.
6 kWh last session is a mess. Worthless.
There is a cumulative added energy sensor in the HA integration for my Wallbox and I use it in the energy board, this way I can see the added energy over time, works perfect.
Same here. I use “added energy” in the energy dashboard and I have the cumulative energy per day per week per month like any other devices. It matches the digits in the Wallbox app.
How can you count that if the value is reseted not by midnight, but by charging session ?
“Added energy” is resetted here only if I unplug the car.
How can you count that?
Here is the graph again which clearly shows that the reset does not happen every midnight and that a reset can take days till the next reset will happen if the car is not used and in surplus charging mode.
What did I get wrong or did miss ?
Here are the last 10 days of “additional energy” sensor and that has nothing to do with a daily, weekly, monthly consumption.
I see constant changes without a time pattern and for the resets happen only if I disconnect the plug. But I do not wanna have to unplug every day just to get the basic data.
I simply wanna get the wallbox energymeter or counter like other manufacturer do.
There is no chance for a logic I can use.
Midnight 14./15th of october shows a 8 kWh figure.
But that increases further during 15. to 16.th of october to 16.
I can only count the values before the reset.
It add every added energy. Below my data from july
The added energy counter
The energy dashboard count
The enery dashboard cumultive month
The wallbox app count
For my info; do you have a 3-phase or single phase?
I just added the wallbox energy import to the Energy dashboard.
For this morning it looks ok. You see the wallbox consumption as reported by the wallbox and the ‘autolader’ which is an energymeter in front of the wallbox. Both are close enough to each other.
But this was for a single session; i should check once if we habe multiple charge sessions.
Are you able to check from the extended API if you see the ‘ecosmart’ information?
For the API see: GitHub - SKB-CGN/wallbox: This describes, how to interact with Wallbox.com API for Wallboxes like PulsarPlus
Walter
I’m not talking about the added energy sensor, but the cumulative added energy sensor.
‘added energy’ is the one that resets every charge.
‘cumulative added energy’ adds up and never resets.
I have both provided from my Copper SB.
Mine also reports the added energy per session but HA energy dashboard can deal with that. No problem. It accumulates the sessions.
The local integration reports the cumulative one.
