Warema WMS Integration

Hello,
I have two questions:

is this Integration also working with awnings, that has a wms module?
is this the correct Stick?

The awnings will likely have a different component type id, the default of 25 (radio motor) could work, but if not it should be easy to add support with a little bit of help from you.

That looks like the correct stick.

I’m keen to try: I cracked open mine but it’s not immediately clear to me by just looking at the PCB where antenna ground and signal are wired up to, any pointers?

Hi,
I got the Stick Working an my Remote was recognized, with the AdIn from santam, in the other version from gianello I get the same log entries.

I am using a warema awing. I entered the ID, the Key and the Channel from the remote.

The log shows me this:

I am curious, I have Warema Raff Stores and Home asistant running. What is not clear to me, is it possible to control the WMS with Home Assistant without further hardware?
and if not, would the WMS stick do this?

Not with this extension, it needs the WMS stick. There’s another one with which you can achieve that if you own the WebControl unit: Custom template cover for WAREMA blinds

USB 3 ports create lots of interference, try using a usb extension cable to avoid that. In general, the range of the stick is quite bad, and even thin walls can completely prevent it to work properly.

It still doesn’t. work, no chance even if I am directly under the awing.
Where can I find the Add In Code in my Home Assistant? I want to “investigate” the code.
Or is the only way to make a GiHub Copy of the code and import it in the HA?

Hey there,

thank you all for your work, it looks amazing. We are a little hackspace located in Germany. Our landlord installed many Warema WMS actors a few of them are motors to control the sun-blinds. We already have quite a big home-assistant setup running with many sensors.
Now our plan is to integrate the WMS sensors into home-assistant, as far as i can understand this thread, we would need a WMS-Stick for that. I can see its around 60€ here so that should be no problem.
My only problem is that the only remotes available are the build-in WAREMA 1002881 remotes. Is it possible to use this addon with only this wall-mounted remote, especially for the setup of the stick?

I used the basic remote and it worked so I guess it should work with the wall mounted remotes as well.
I bought the stick online there are multiple dealers offering them for about 50-60 Euro.

Although the addon works it always looses connection to the warema awning. After a couple of restarts of the addon/HA it starts working again. I hope that the updated version will be released soon.

I now also have some devices in it.

But unfortunately not all.

Markis works.

Weather Eco only Lux. Wind strength and battery are missing. I still have two Warema adapter plugs…they are also missing.

Does anyone here have any idea what I have to do?

I have posted logs above… What is not detected correctly for me , is the weather eco…
Here the WIND, twilight etc is missing.
Also my warema sockets do not appear in ha.
The shading can be controlled perfectly.

It would be great if that could somehow be integrated.

Oh yes, should I not also be able to control the shading with the handheld transmitter, or should also appear for the handheld transmitter an entity!

weather stations are not supported - don’t have them, can’t test them. same for sockets.
The transmitters do NOT appear as an entity

for the new version…patience is key, not enough time

If I can do something to read something out…please let me know. When I enter the serial number of plugs as a force device, they appear as a blinds. Up down arrow switches the plugs. on off.

@Santam what does your modified version look like… can’t I install it via the addonStore?

I have a weather station, it reads wind and light broadcasts ok-ish, not sure about the accuracy. No need to add the weather station among the devices. Temperature is not working well but can’t figure out the protocol. Plugs are not working with the extension at the moment. I don’t use HomeAssistantOS so I am not sure how the addonStore works sorry.

I“ve got the Warema eco…. It only shows lum…. No wind.

Can someone tell me how I can automatically get the status from the awning after a restart of ha?

Until I move the awning, it says unknown…and is of course stupid if I have an condition with close or open in an automation…
