The thermostat card was recently redesigned in https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/pull/18709 to match the design of the climate more info dialog. The water heater more info dialog has a similar design, and it would be great to have this as a dashboard card as well.

Ireally want this. Why the water heater thermostat card doesn’t work like the climate control card is baffling. The functionality is there. We just can’t see it on the dashboard without going into more info.

HA 2025.6.0 changed some things in SmartThings. Now my heaters in my heat pump are shown as water_heater. If I click on it, it shows a dialog similar to the thermostat card. So the UI for water heater is available. Why can’t we use it in Lovelace then?
