Similar to google calendars, be able to choose the color in order to display the events on dashboard accordingly.
Wondered about this as well! I’m working around it using this card, but would love to change the colors in the default calendar: GitHub - FamousWolf/week-planner-card: Custom Home Assistant card displaying a responsive overview or multiple days with events from one of multiple calendars
There is an architecture discussion about this: Add color and icon to the CalendarEntity · home-assistant/architecture · Discussion #883 · GitHub
This Card and the exposed attributes and classes would make for a great addition to the default calendar card.
Agreed, though the dev just pushed a couple major updates to the card that make it much more beginner friendly so at this rate, I’m not opposed to keeping it as a HACS integration for the time being.
It would be nice if the default calendar colors matched the ones set in google calendar.
this would be cool at the moment my “green bin out” event is purple!
exactly, this WTH should be about assigning colors to calendars, but most certainly also about items inside calendars
recurring trans inside the waste calendar, eg
blue: paper
orange: plastic
green: gft (natural waste)
black: trash
ofc to each their own, this is just as an illustration to improve the current situation:
When you create a local calendar it assigned a color and if you create more they are all assigned different colors. i would like the ability to be able to change the colors of existing local calendars and the ability to choose a color when creating a new one
