Hi,
For me it also stopped working. It does not give me any errors when setting up but just does not import any devices to HA. It worked fine before and suddenly after updating to 2021.10.5 all tuya devices became unavailable and when reading the integration I have no devices :<
Here is screen from my HA
exactly same case ā¦
Same here.
I had 10.1 and it worked well, yesterday I have upgraded to 10.5 and no device is listed
Central Europe data centre for Australia wasnāt the issue. It works for me but I wasnāt sure if this was the issue when I mentioned it.
Same here. Was working under 10.4, no devices listed after updating to 10.5. Tried reloading the integration, deleting the integration and re-creating it, tried restoring to a previous backup (HA 10.4) as well but still not working. Devices show as online in Tuya IoT Cloud, Tuya App works, Google Home with Tuya devices work, but not Home Assistant. Tuya installation is Australia, if it makes any differenceā¦
Same here. It seems it doesnāt depend on the HA version, mine just stopped working from one day to another.
I tried to remove and reinstall tuya on integration page - no success. Everything except of HA is working: Smart Life app, Google integration, IOT Tuya Developer page.
Also tried to add more geo-s like China and all available European regions, but still no success.
Iām from Central Europe.
This is kinda frustratingā¦
Most likely the iot portal changed something and integration would have to be updated :< I have also tried to add integration using tuya v2 and the same thing happened.
Same with my new tuya integration, stopped working yesterday. I assume after HA update. Rollback with earlier backup did not bring it back, which tell me, that the update is not the reason?
The integration pages does not show any devices. within tuya IoT Portal all devices are online.
Can not find any log files which show errors.
Any down sides with moving to local Tuya?
I changed it and it works well.
Configuration is a little bit on the hard side, but it is a single time configuration (hopefully )

This has probably been mentioned, but the new integration lacks a lot of drivers.
I only have one type of Tuya device and get the symptoms you describe, as it has no driver yet.
Hi,
Any guide that you have followed?
I used this https://github.com/rospogrigio/localtuya
Few comments:
(1) Youāll need to get Tuya deviceās Key and ID. it requires installation of SW on a local machine. there is a link on the page above. Iāve used the Tuya smart app method.
(2) once done, youāll get a list of entities IDs. youāll need to map them to functionality (switch, timer, etc.) manually

my tuya integration is back with no change to Home Assistant.
Has anyone else experienced this self-healing solution?
The only thing i did was starting a new IoT procet on tuya IoT Platform and linked my tuya App to it. I did no change to my HA Config, or reinstalled tuya integration.
Strange, but Iām glad everything is back now.
Thanks for the suggestion, if this really provides local control of my tuya devices, I will definitely go this way!
Hi JHWas,
thank you for the input. Although I tried with two unsuccessful projects before, I then tried with a new third one and it worked! It automatically imported my devices on setup. I cannot explain what has changed soā¦ keep trying!
Created the project on iot yesterday - core is 2021.10.6 (fresh update) but I get the skill id error
Any other pointers ?
Thanks
maybe have a look at this:
Thanks for the video - very informative. I was using my IOT platform credentials to login not the tuya app ones yet I still have the errorā¦
Tried everything I could and this is the result:
From Tuya cloud I can see all my 13 devices, when I setup the integration in HA, it just discovers 3 out of the 13. Ended up installing the Tuya old integration in HACS + Local Tuya (which iI prefer, I use the cloud one just for the devices I couldnāt add through the local Tuya)
Quick summary of my experience:
- Followed the instructions in the HA tuya integration doco, incl.
- Signed up to Tuya IoT Platform and created a new project.
- Iām based in Australia and selected āCentral Europe Data Centerā.
- Installed the Tuya Smart app and added a Kogan Smart Plug.
- Smart Plug appeared in device list of my project on Tuya IoT Platform.
- Tried adding Tuya integration to HA, filled in all the details, selected country āAustraliaā ā Got the āLogin error (2406): skill id invalidā error message.
- Changed country to āGermanyā and it worked instantly.
Outstanding issues: The smart plug supports energy monitoring, but I can only see a switch entity at this point in time. Alright, I just saw that energy monitoring is not yet supported but is planned to come in v2021.11.
