It sure would extend the safe usability to others who are not technically proficient but would like to do basic things with the Home Assistant web GUI.

This feature request relates strongly to the Issue #18626 - Default dashboard keeps resetting to Overview.
Currently, the default dashboard (and, as some users reported in the issue, other settings as well) seem to be semi-randomly reset on devices (in my case only on my iPhone - Android and desktop browsers are fine). This seems to be related to accessing it from inside the local network vs. from the Internet, and possibly due to different URLs being used and therefore different local storage sets.
On my Android as well as my Firefox browsers, I’ve set my custom dashboard to be my default dashboard, and it works very well. On my iPhone however, from time to time the default dashboard toggles back to “Overview” - which is pretty unnerving, because it takes some time to load due to a lot of entities, and because I need to manually change the default dashboard again. And again. And again.
There are some details in the linked issue around why this behavior might happen (although I don’t understand why it only happens on iOS for me, never on Android). I’d love to have a persistent storage of settings per device, no matter which connection I use, and which underlying URL is used.
I’ve searched the feature request forum, but surprisingly it seems nobody has asked for this. There’s “set default dashboard per user”, but that’s different from “set default dashboard per user’s device and keep it that way”

I have the same issue. Thanks for trying to get this fixed.
Please please do something along these lines! I have an ipad mini for my kitchen home assistant interface, and every time it resets to the overview dashboard, it crashes the HA app. The overview does not work on any mobile device once you get a certain number of entities in your house. You should either be able to set a global default dashboard, or the overview should be something much simpler.
