did you managed to detach the relays?
What do you mean?
To make them dry contact relays
Oh okay, I didn’t make dry contacts. I use Sonoff mini’s for dry contact.
Do you still have a pcb left?
Hi daniel, do you know if there’s an ESP-12 adaptor for CBU chip?
I kinda botched my 2nd pcb with cbu (wires pulled the pcb trace from the board)
No, sorry.
Could I request for CBU adapter?
I don’t really have the skills to create the pcb drawing
Maybe I could send cbu chip/device containing cbu to you?
Also, what’s the average cost & shipping fee if I buy from pcbway?
Look at esp c05 i got 1 and is like cbu chip, i dont try to replace and see if work
Sorry, but no. I am busy with other projects.
Thanks!
do you mind taking a picture of both cbu & c05 side to side?
The c05 looks pretty good other than not having the extra 1 pin on the sides
That’s unfortunate, but thanks
C05 - ESP-C3-C05 ESP32-C3 4Mb Module (DT-ESP-C05) Configuration for Tasmota
CBU - CBU Module Datasheet-Tuya IoT Development Platform-Tuya Developer
Yep, saw the datasheets before this, since you have C05 in hand.
Could you take a picture C05 next to CBU chip?
Just need to gauge the size and pins
i don’t have CBU , only i have a ZMAI 90 with CBU on him, when i will open zmai i will post a picture
Hey all!
I see you’re having issues with non-ESP chips. I think I might have a solution for that. My solution is still very WIP and in early stages of development, but supports Home Assistant right now, at least for relays and PWM leds. TuyaMCU and more is coming soon.
I am working on Tasmota-like firmware replacement for new Tuya chips, which right now supports 3 platforms:
- BK7231T (WB2S, WB3S, WB2L, etc)
- BK7231N (CB2S, CBU, etc)
- XR809 (XR3)
The goal of the project is to add easy Home Assistant and other platforms support for all Tuya devices, without doing ‘brain transplant’ procedure (replacing old chip with ESP).
W600 platform support is also possible.

Good job!
Now, what would be nice is if it allowed OTA flashing from the stock Tuya rubbish like Tuya-Convert used to…
There’s cloudcutter for that, probably another 25 days left before the tools are released
